Tamara Glassburg, violinist, received her Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance from the American Conservatory of Music. Her graduate studies were at DePaul University with Mark Zinger and at Indiana University with Jacques Israelevitch. Tamara has subsequently studied with Ray Niwa and Albert Igolnikov of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Tamara is an alumni of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and remains active as an orchestral performer. She performs with the Northwest Indiana Symphony, Lake Forest Symphony, Elgin Symphony and the Chicago Chamber Orchestra.

In addition to her work as an orchestral violinist, Tamara is called on by some of the more highly regarded society bands in the Chicago area, such as The Don Cagen Orchestra, Ken Arlen Orchestra and the Bradley Young Orchestra, often performing as violin soloist for ceremonies and receptions coordinated by these organizations.

Tamara is married to violinist James Sanders. They perform together regularly, playing string quartets and society engagements. In addition to her accomplishment as a performer, Tamara Glassburg is a certified Suzuki violin instructor and maintains a substantial teaching commitment with Arlington Heights School District 25 String Program, Music For Youth.
